For the Love of Kids 2006 Practical Parenting Conference
Trudelle Thomas
WORKSHOP TITLE: Being a Mom and Having a Life: Four keys for moms to stay centered
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: Perhaps you’ve heard the expression, “If Mama’s not happy, nobody’s happy.” Your greatest gift to your kids is to be a balanced, positive person who is able to enjoy them and laugh often. Yet many of us feel pulled apart by our roles as mother, worker, wife, daughter, friend, and citizen. This workshop will set forth principles and practical suggestions for crafting a life that is more intentional and more satisfying. Trudelle will explain the importance of finding alone-time, writing a “Mom’s Mission Statement,” having friendships beyond the family, and re-directing the inescapable anger that comes with parenting.
