WORKSHOP TITLE: Emotional Intelligence: Helping your child deal with anger, stress and disappointmentWORKSHOP OVERVIEW: Research suggests that children and adults who have a high emotional intelligence (EI) are more successful in life than those with low EI. In fact, emotional intelligence has proven a better predictor of future success than traditional methods like the GPA, IQ, and standardized test scores. This workshop is designed for parents who want to better understand emotional intelligence and how to develop this skill in their children. Although EI encompasses the complete range of emotions, this workshop will concentrate on three difficult emotions for children to deal with: anger, stress, and disappointment.
