However, as important as a degree may be, there are 7 essential lessons that no child can do without if happiness is a goal. One might think of these 7 lessons as "fundamentals to the fundamentals." The wisdom of the advice “don’t tell a child what to do, teach him how to think” is self-evident, however knowing precisely what to teach may not be so easy. Join Jeff for a discussion of the 7 essential lessons no child can do without, including his own personal observations from working with thousands of students and their parents at the largest sports instructional facility in the U.S.  

Jeff Metzger is the founding president of Kids First Sports Center in Sycamore Township. Jeff and his staff of 125 currently teach, 5000 children and since 1975 have taught well in excess of 20,000 Cincinnati-area children. This unique opportunity has allowed Jeff to closely observe hundreds, if not thousands, of parent-child relationships and parenting styles and their long-term results. Additionally, Jeff is the founding president of The Metzger Small Business Boot Camp, a 4 ½-day, total-immersion leadership workshop with over 1,000 graduates from U.S., Australia, Canada, Mexico, Portugal, Singapore and Switzerland. Jeff and his wife, Penny, have five happy, healthy responsible children of their own.
