Free program offers help to high-conflict families
CINCINNATI – Beech Acres Parenting Center is offering a free program, “Families in Transition,” for mothers and their children who have experienced violence or abuse.
Moms will learn information about community resources, self-care, the father’s role in their children children’s lives, developing a safety plan and coping with other challenges.
Children will be in age-appropriate groups and will learn through activities ways to cope with high conflict in the family.
The three-week program, funded through a grant from the Avon Foundation and sponsored by the YWCA of Greater Cincinnati, will be held 6-8 p.m. July 12, 19 and 26. For more information or to register, call (513) 233-4706.
