This is a time for parents and their children to come together. During this effective three session class, parents will gain insight into the problems and issues facing their children and the impact it is having on them. Parents and children are provided tools and support to successfully deal with these issues while strengthening their skills and relationships. Topics include:
- Positive communication and problem solving skills.
- Anger, stress management and coping skills.
- Strengthening family relationships.
- Parenting together.
Adults and children meet in their own classes with the children divided into groups broken down by grade level; 1-3, 4-6, and 7-9. This class accommodates 10-15 families. Childcare provided for children ages 2-4.
To be eligible for this class, the family must be experiencing some sort of crisis and live in one of the following zip codes: 45205, 45211, 45238, 45225, or 45223.
