Make a Difference
Bequests
Create a worthwhile legacy that Strengthens Families for Children. Why choose to make a bequest?- To designate a specific dollar amount or percentage of the net proceeds of the estate
- To name Beech Acres Parenting Center as a secondary beneficiary, leaving the majority of your assets to your family
- To reduce or avoid federal estate taxation
How do you make a bequest?Unrestricted bequests are preferred because of the flexibility they provide Beech Acres to apply the gift to the greatest need in the future when the bequest is received. All legal restrictions stipulated by donors will be strictly followed. We encourage donors or their attorneys to discuss specific restrictions with Beech Acres staff to ensure their intentions can be fulfilled and will match Beech Acres’ long-term objectives. If you would like to include Beech Acres in your estate plans, we suggest the following language: Bequest for General PurposesUnrestricted Gift“I give, devise and bequeath to Beech Acres Parenting Center (BAPC), a not-for-profit Ohio corporation (Tax ID # 31-0536663) all [or ___ percent of ] the rest, residue and remainder of my estate [or the sum of ___ dollars; or description of property] to be used by the BAPC in such manner as is deemed most useful for the purposes of BAPC.” Unrestricted Endowment“I give, devise and bequeath to Beech Acres Parenting Center (BAPC), a not-for-profit Ohio corporation (Tax ID # 31-0536663) all [or ___ percent of ] the rest, residue and remainder of my estate [or the sum of ___ dollars; or description of property] to establish an endowment fund which shall be known as the ___ Fund.
