Your two-year old refuses to eat anything green, and your seven-year old is obsessed with trading cards. Not even your mom could have prepared you for all the everyday ups and downs of parenthood. That's where Beech Acres Parenting Center comes in!
At Beech Acres Parenting Center, you'll find a ParentSource Info Line (513-624-3400), where you can get advice from child development experts. There are parenting education classes, and a once-a-year conference on practical parenting called For the Love of Kids to help you deal with the challenges of raising great kids.
Beech Acres Parenting Center can help you find support groups for single parents, stepfamilies, and divorced or divorcing parents and their children. Mediation services are available to help families work out problems of divorce, stepfamily conflicts, or conflicts between parents and teens.
Beech Acres Parenting Center also offers help through a variety of programs to families of children whose problems may include mental health issues, serious behavior problems, or drug and alcohol addiction. Therapeutic Foster Care places children who are the victims of abuse and neglect with foster parents who receive specialized training previous to placement and continuing support throughout the placement. Beech Acres also offers family and individual therapy and mentoring services in locations throughout Cincinnati.

Beech Acres Parenting Center. We are proud of our vision that one day,
"Every family has a web of support, enabling them to raise children who achieve their unique potential".Based upon the beliefs that all parents love their kids, face challenges, and need support along the way, our aim is to ensure resources are available to families when and where they are needed most.
Some of the challenges families face are huge, such as the second grader whose assaultive behavior toward a teacher got him expelled from school; or the 11-year old who came to Beech Acres foster parents after "failing" with four previous foster care agencies. Many first-time parents who grew up under stress are at risk of repeating old family patterns of neglect or abuse, and thousands of divorcing parents struggle to keep their kids out of the middle of their conflicts. Other challenges are not as big, but still significant to the parents, such as potty training, sibling rivalry, and poor performance in school.
Beech Acres Services are designed to meet the intensive needs of children and families under the most stress. Specially trained staff and foster parents are uniquely qualified to provide individualized services with specific goals designed to improve daily functioning, self-esteem, and overall satisfaction. Our Therapeutic Foster Care, Alternative Day School, Therapeutic Mentoring, Mediation, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy are but a few of the many offerings which build parents' and children's capability by focusing first on what they are doing well and expanding on their strengths.
Beech Acres Parenting Resources is a practical go-to resource for any parent seeking support, information, or guidance on any issue s/he faces in striving to raise kids in today's busy, complex world. We provide seminars, conferences, individual consultation, and an array of on-line parenting services. As with our Services, we emphasize the positive, build upon what each parent does well already, and tailor our approach to meet the unique needs of each family.
