For the Love of Kids 2006 Practical Parenting Conference

Mission:

To inspire, educate and connect parents in their vital work of raising children who achieve their unique potential.

Purpose:

America’s children are growing up in more stressful circumstances than their parents. 61% of parents believe today’s generation of parents is not doing a good job. Half of all parents worry about how to protect their children from negative influences. More than 95% of Americans rank family as the most important aspect of their lives.

The For the Love of Kids Practical Parenting Conference is an educational forum that brings national parenting experts together to provide parents with answers to today’s difficult parenting challenges.

History:

Since 1999, more than 10,000 parents have attended at least one of the eight practical parenting conferences that uses a parent-centered approach, competency building content, and a positive inspirational tone.  Past years’ parenting experts have included:

·   Dr. T. Berry Brazelton, America’s pediatrician and author of Touchpoints

·   Ellen Galinsky, president of Families and Work Insititute; author of Ask the Children

·   Adele Faber, New York Times best-selling author on parent-child communication

·   Madelyn Swift, author and speaking authority on discipline and family dynamics
