WORKSHOP TITLE: Internet Safety:  Important information parents must know to protect their family

WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: Through this i-SAFE training session on Internet safety, parents will learn about dangers threatening our families online-such as cyber predators and the grooming process used to lure and victimize children, malicious code and spyware threatening computer security, identity theft, and cyber bullying. Participants will be educated and empowered with information and resources to not only protect their own families but to educate others in their community.  Tip sheets and information on how to receive free CDs, additional training and other materials will be provided.
 
Lisa Cunningham works with i-SAFE's i-PARENT and Youth Empowerment programs, assisting in the development of outreach programmatic materials, supporting parents and students with Internet safety activities, and conducting Internet safety presentations for parents and students nationwide.
